This is my first time actually committing to this. I'm done giving in to my urges.

Anyone else been successful trying this? Or unsuccessful? Tell me your stories
>>
0% of people who tried have been successful.

Some resist for a day, some a week, some a couple years... but everyone falls back into it.

Fighting urges created by millions of years of evolution is a sure path to misery in the long term.

i get what you mean. but i think as long as someone meets their goal, they're successful. i'm going for a month to three months. i just hate how weak i feel giving into it

Semen retention is a pinnacle of myriad ancient systems of wisdom such as Taoism, Masonics, Kabbalah and Hinduism, the life altering changes confirmed by countless anecdotal evidence, and refuted by naysayers defending their sex and masturbation, and the likes of George Soros with an interest in keeping men docile, forever lusting after the pussy and depleting their life force. It suffices to say that I can't convince people not to masturbate, those who have managed to go 2 weeks or more without it after 2 years or more of regular ejaculation can attest to their transformation. Barring of course physical or mental illness, poor diet, or medications which lower your functioning.
>>
I aspire to eliminate any voluntary ejaculation altogether, ideally never masturbating, and also refraining from pornography and even fantasizing about women. For me this is especially necessary since I have been a compulsive masturbator and porn addict for several years, so the only way to stop is completely, since moderation is not possible. When semen retention is combined with regular meditation (chanting aum and sanskrit mantra, none of that "quiet your mind" shit), it allows me to ground my energy and have control over the force of my libido. This is necessary, otherwise I inevitably start behaving aggressively and thinking about sex again. The one good thing about a masturbation bender is that afterward my sex drive is dead for a few days, and it feels good to never even think about women, so by combining this post-fap clarity with no-fap energy, the circle is complete and I can go for months without fapping, porn or fantasizing.

Sounds ideal to me.

>Voluntarily celibate sexual transmutation wizard pro-life antinatalist MGTOW virgin

lol literally me

been successful for 8 years bro.

but it has it's downsides, eventually your libido just completely goes away. That takes a while though.
>>
7 day reflection:

Increased anxiety/stress
Increased energy
Increased mental clarity
Increased sex drive (obv)

imo it's not worth it if you're ugly or poor

>went on vacation for 10 days
>didn't fap the entire time, looked at porn once when i had free time and didn't even get a boner
>pretty much no sex drive at all, even looking at girls with big jiggly asses on the beach didn't do anything for me
>get back home
>get bored so i try to jack off
>sex drive is instantly back again and i'm back to fapping every day again
What did my body mean by this?

I'm a month in and I feel like most of the effects are placebo. Also, I'm a virgin so it feels more intense for me.
>>
And one final though I'll add: From my last few relapses, I remember seeing how it all started in the mind. One day I started fantasizing about sex again, or decided to go to /gif/ and xvideos just to see what was on the front page, thinking it would be okay, I'm still not going to masturbate. But every time, within a few days of allowing my mind to wander back into sexual thoughts I had already planted the seeds for failure, and doomed to relapse again. So to succeed with sexual abstinence long term requires full commitment to maintaining pure mind, one of many reasons to meditate daily and practice sexual energy transmutation kriyas. This is the only way to master your life, for otherwise the biological imperative will always come back and take control of your mind, if you don't own your sexuality, it owns you.

Why do people do the whole noFap thing? I thought it was a meme. What possible benefit could come of this?
>>
Been going for about 5 weeks now. I'm not sure what my goal is, but I realized that porn is just awful and I needed to cut that shit out completely. I've done nofap for over a year before but it's never been this hard, I'm not sure why.
>>
>>38678989
During your vacation you probably had enough stimulus happening around you, keeping your mind engaged in varying things/experiences.
When you returned home and ended up with much more downtime where your brain isn't actively stimulated, you find yourself easily falling back to fapping as it's an easy way to stimulate your brain (unproductively).

It sounds like you're not addicted to porn/fapping, ad that it's more likely a habitual or boredom thing.

>>38679067
Because we live in an era where extreme measures are seen as a good thing.
NoFap is just broscience bullshit.
Less fapping can have benefits, however, provided we're talking about people who fap numerous times a day, watch porn for hours a day, and/or are addicted to either.

Reducing either to a frequency that allows you to get more done outside of fapping is useful, as that allows you to have more potential time for productivity. Having other things on your mind than porn and fapping all day, by spending less time daily acting upon it, also might help you to get a better state of mind.

Other than that, most effects described are just placebo effects, which is why there's so much discussion over the supposed benefits of never fapping again.

Alright, so more of an "if you're addicted to doing a thing, maybe do less of the thing" rule. That seems so intuitively obvious it's weird there's even a group advocating for it.

I guess Fapoholics anonymous would be more acurate. The whole point is about masturbation addicts trying to quit masturbation rather than proselytizing normies who never had a masturbation problem. But it absolutely does deserve such a movement, since porn/masturbation/orgasm can be just as addictive as hard drugs, but not taken seriously because fap addicts only harm themselves, and in subtle ways. Its socially acceptable to talk about meth, alcohol, junk food and gambling addiction, yet PMO addiction is still a taboo subject that mainstream society is only recently starting to recognize as a problem. And of course they don't want men to free themselves from it completely, but just enough to continue being productive providers while they continue to pursue sex and cater to women.

In my opinion it is a common social event that has been measured where simply being observed, or in this case being present and mindful and having a concentrated ritual that you hope will improve you, causes many beneficial effects on a person.

I BET you that if you did a "Mo'Fap" instead where you tried to fap MORE and BETTER (edging breathing more varied stimuli) and the whole while you imagined "this is supposed to make me more confiedent, and productive, and happier and blah blah blah" that the simple ritual, the meditation, the focus or yourself and betterment of yourself and introspection would actually give you the same exact benefits.

It's just a form of meditation. Being present. Self care.

>What possible benefit could come of this?

It might be difficult to comprehend but when I successfully went 5 months before finally fapping my penis sensitivity was at the most sensitive it has ever been since I started fapping. So they are right about it resetting you. It worked for me.
