thanks man! glad you noticed the r9k theme i was thinking of this board when i wrote it so I was gonna call it r9k or something but thought that would be too cheesy

my advice would to be try not to force yourself to play you have to enjoy playing first, so this could be finding out how to play some of your favorite songs first so you can just enjoy the sounds guitars make, I could have lied by red hot chili peppers is a good song to learn

I would also recommend to practice trying to play along with songs you like too, so stick a song on and try to play lead guitar for it off the bat, this makes you better at jamming and improv

Guitar is a long ride and even I feel like a beginner compared to some extremely talented people out there so there's always something to learn, just try to enjoy the ride and don't force it! that would be my main advice
