too many to originally name even though i used to really enjoy naruto and one piece when i was 8-12 years of age and then i just totally stopped watching anime

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gurren Lagann unironically changed my life for the better. I'd say the ratio of shit to good things is worse in anime than pretty much any other medium. Maybe it's because making anime is usually such a corporate thing.
