Neet logic. Kys
>>38636146
>customer comes by
>say hi by mumbling with a fake retarded smile
>customer stares at me with disgust
>can't make eye contact with customers
>can't initiate conversations with them
>always have to call for help even after a month
>10/10 qt with bf comes by
>literally stare at her tits because afraid of eye contact
>her bf starts screaming at me
>quit and start crying in the bathroom
>>38636179
Thisisn't obviously the only job, but I'd still kill myself (which is exactly what (You) want) if I were forced to work as a cashier.

>tfw costumer takes it out on you when you're out of a certain item
>tfw costumer takes it out on you if his order is even one minute late
Stop fucking up my order.
Sincerely, Chad.
Well I work the register but I'm not the "cashier", I work at a dollar store so I have to do everything. Sometimes all at once, somehow. Sometimes completely alone. If the company would only allow us to give out more hours, maybe the store would be presentable. It's hard to take care of an entire store with no more than 2 people at any time.
Lately there's a fake $5 coupon going around and upper management keeps sending us emails saying not to take it. But now I'm seeing emails all like "OMG how could you do that to the customer, don't you know you're supposed to give them a $5 gift card when you reject it?!?!?!?!" One email literally said
>you can't hide behind policy any longer
Break policy, get fired. Follow policy, get fired.

you need to develop a thick skin, after some time this doesnt face you anymore, just keep it professional
>>38636985
I don't get it, why do they chimp out at you if the shop is out of certain items?
If I encounter this problem in a store I just say "oh, too bad" and go on with my life.
>work at DQ
>they have pic related as their registers
>except more yellow and screen bezels are cracked
>coworker says the only reason they haven't updated is because they're cheap bastards
>monochrome CRT screen
>dozens of menus and submenus, nothing is laid out like it should be
>always working against you
>only lets you take off the last item you put on an order, including scrolling through menus
>if you have to take off anything else you need the manager's key
>want a different size blizzard? manager.
>want a 6pc chicken strip basket instead of 4pc? manager
>you get the idea
>coworker says he's planning to leave at the end of august
>I suggest he break in and smash the registers with a hammer before he does
>he says he has something bigger planned
I don't know what that means but I'm vaguely excited yet cautious. From my guess, it's probably somewhere between putting whipped cream on all the counters or going Columbine on everyone.
I'm honestly ok with either of those, but I just really want him to smash those registers.

no they don't there are people that would find an employee and ask to speak with a manager. these ppl are usually baby boomers.
>not getting a stocking job that lets you work with headphones in and talk with absolutely nobody
I'm a grill guy and a dish closer.
It's not that bad.
>tfw cashier in office depot
It fucking SUCKS especially now considering its back to school season now
>cashier at a grocery store
>get placed on register 2 a lot
>register 2 has problems with American Express and Chase Sapphire cards
>constantly have to manually enter card information
>customers always get visually annoyed/upset
>they usually mess up typing it in and have to retype everything
>always have a stream of 3+ people/groups waiting in line because it takes so long for them to type it in
>smile the whole time and tell peoole to have a great day, seldom do they say it back
>have work later today
Man, being a wagekek sucks
