Most people who play have been playing since a very young age it takes years and i mean years of daily practice to play at a basic level.

yes, it takes practice. But in two years you can get REALLY competent. I've seen it. I mean, don't take it too literal. If piano is not your thing, the same things applies to anything. If you practice and get good at something you earn respect.

It depends on the person but it takes months alone to thread your fingers as to say and then you might be lucky to learn 3-5 songs a years. however if you started at a young age your chances are ten fold at learning to play.
