I got summoned for jury duty once. I didn't even make it to the interview phase. I had to fill out some paperwork, they showed a video that explained everything about jury duty, and then I was in the group that got immediately dismissed. A couple weeks later I got a check in the mail for like $20 or $25 because as long as you show up even if you're dismissed that still counts as serving and you get paid for that plus I got a little extra for travel expenses.

Does it not annoy anyone but me that women have so many options when dressing business/business casual? They can wear pretty much anything that isn't a t-shirt, shorts or jeans, while we have to wear a suit and tie or look like a slob.

Yes, jury duty is a pain in the ass, but it's basic adult shit you're gonna have to learn to deal with to be a functioning member of society. You might be called on to make a decision that majorly affects another person's life, so try to treat it as seriously as you would want others to do if you were the defendant yourself.

Dress in decent clothes. Doesn't have to be a full suit, but something that wouldn't embarrass you if you wore them to a funeral, church, white collar office job, or similar formal function. Slacks and a button up collared dress shirt is fine.
