How do you even make new friends when you're in your mid 20's and have been an anti social house rat till then? The crippling loneliness is settling.

Both of my younger brothers stay inside all day playing vidya because they have no friends to go do stuff with (just like me). I kind of feel responsible for having been a bad role model. One seemed at one point to have had a chance to have a social, well-adjusted life (he remains the only brother to ever have had a gf, even if it was only for 2 weeks), but that all went away when he started high school, and now just sits inside playing just as me and the other one. They're the closest thing I can get as far as friends go.

there are these 2 brothers at my college, i never talked to them but they live in a triple with one of my buddies.
apparently i never see them around because they only leave the room to go to the dining commons and class.
buddy says he doesnt even talk to them much, and they dont even talk to each other much so they just sit there quietly on their computers.
you would think they get really good grades but they are tanking many of their classes which sounds like some greentexts ive seen here.
and to top it off, they cant catch social cues for shit. like, worse than me and i'm pretty bad.

last year i had met one. I had a warehouse forklift driver job (did it cause im in College and still wanna have some money) and he was "the new guy".

His Name was Alexander and he liked Anime ( but the Mainstream Trash Naruto Dragonball and so on) only got the job cause of his brother ( he told me that with a smug face)

I've met 3. got on great with two of them and we're still friends, although they're unsurprisingly super shy and resist hanging out in person. dated the third and I still kind of want to slit my throat when I think back on the amount of bullshit he put me through. lesson learned: only be friends with robots. do not date them.

Practically same situation (except I live in the city). One of my brothers actually goes on Reddit, which honestly makes me feel a tiny bit better, because I know he's not as far down the rabbit hole as I am. The website might be cancer, but the chances of him interacting with somewhat normal people there is higher. We live in a crowded apartment that my parents bought when I tried going to college. The room I stay in is supposed to have its own bathroom, but since all three of us still live at home, that place is now used for storage. You'd think there being three of us there'd be a higher chance of one person turning out normal. But life's a bitch. Worse is, we have cousins out and about going to college and getting jobs and whatnot, while we're kind of the black sheep of the family.
