So lsiten up, my current diet consists of:
>not eating anything before midnight
>eat some meat, veggies, sometimes a bit of carbs and ONE snack/icecream
>lots of coffee throughout the day
>no sugary drink at all only water

Do you think this is a good strategy?

I fasted completely at other times in my lief and managed to lose LOTS of weight very fast but you always feel kinda on edge.

Eating just once per day lets me keep okay/fine/calm and the hunger (very little till approaching night time) is quelled by coffee.

Back in my teens I would often only eat soup, fruit/vegetables, and drink black coffee. Usually between 500-800 calories a day. I'd also do some light exercise, like going for walks, push ups, and sit ups.

I think I mainly did it to distract myself, but I can promise you that you won't be fat after a while of that. Although I can almost guarantee you'll feel like garbage, mainly when you stand up.

I've lost 34 lbs these last few months by not eating any carbs at all, only frozen chicken which is super cheap, and frozen broccoli which is super cheap, just buy a bunch of seasonings so you can make it taste like whatever you want. There's a book called Eat, Fast, Eat, probably on torrents or somewhere. Basically eating normally for a day, fasting 24 hours, then eating again. Cutting just a day or 2 out a week will help and you're body won't go into starvation mode. Only drinking water is good, you will lose weight with that alone.

You need to make manageable changes in your life that you can at least vaguely stick to forever. Things like no soda and eating a lot of vegetables and lean meats is a great way to achieve this.

Guarantee you it sucked large amounts of calcium out of my body. Here's to hoping I don't get osteoporosis when I'm older...

All of what you want to do is possible, it's just easier for you and better for your body to lose weight slower. Or increase your physical activity and maintain around1200/day and you'll drop weight like crazy anyway.

Going below 1200 for an extended period of time for any reason isn't recommended though. I've done it before during periods of mania, and it wasn't a good way to live.

OP, I lost 50 lbs over the past year by just doing 2 things.

Eating at a calorie deficiency.
And walking for at least 1 hour everyday.

Literally just go outside, pick a direction and walk for 30 minutes. Then, when 30 minutes is up, turn around, and walk back to your house. Its that simple.

And just eat less calories than you burn. Go use a calorie calculator online, put in your weight and height, and it will tell you how many calories you need to eat to sustain your weight. Eat a tiny bit less than that, and you're fucking golden.

Its literally this simple, weight loss strategies and diets are all a sham.

Well, neither was I. In fact, I was around the same weight as you. You could probably pull off losing around 30-40 Ibs in a year if you're reaaally dedicated. I say that because I put in quite a bit of effort to lose the amount of weight I lost, but I know I could have done it much sooner with even more hard work.

The point is that you can't just do this crazy diet, especially if you're not obese, just overweight. You actually have to change your lifestyle to be successful at this and maintain your weight once you lose it. Or do you expect to keep on with this fast forever?

Count your caloric intake (by SERVING size, also includes drinks). Take a vitamin every 3 days to insure you get your essential nutrients. Choose a protein/fat heavy diet with low carbs. Cut bs like ice cream completely.

Starving yourself only works if you're doing sports with it. I speak from my experience when I was in a tennis club for 2 weeks in Spain, under 40+ celcius, eating these really tiny meals compared to the amount of fat I burned. I would eat like a half portion of pasta for every 5 liters of sweat I lost. That kind of starvation works, but simply not eating can be harmful.
