How much does /r9k/ make a year?
>tfw $100k wage slave
>>
7.5k a year

I work part time at minimum wage. I'd end myself if i had to work full time, i'd rather sustain myself on poverty wages, it's not like i'd do much with the extra cash anyway
>>
>>38571773
I'm 20 but I make 30$/hour which I think is pretty good for part time work.
>>
112k plus bonus, as a software developer
>>
130-ish active income
120-ish passive
>>
>>38571773
I'm on welfare about 700 a month, but I stealt enough to make about 200 more, so idk you do the math.
>>
>>38571773
Professional classical musician here. I work 20 hours a week, make 120k, and have 15 weeks vacation. Life's fucking good
>>
>>38571859
Location? Also what kind of dev work?
>>
>>38571879
That's pretty impressive. What do you play? I didn't know classical musicians got paid that much.

why the fuck do you people come here? how can you be a robot and make over 100k per year? i live in a shithole where the income is 25k per year and the average job is working at mcdonalds.
>>
>>38571902
Outside of Boston. I'm a full-stack developer on a cloud-based service. So, database work, backend work, and frontend work / website design.
>>
>>38571935
That's cool, I was thinking of moving there after I graduate (I live about an hour away from Boston). Is work good there. My current internship is pretty boring.

I myself don't make any money (I am not a wagie) but my mommy makes a cool $140k a year! More than enough to support my vast array of interesting hobbies (for example gaming, foreign animation, and foreign literature). When she passes away I'm just going to kill myself. Even death is better than the boring, unfulfilling life of a wagie.

Who else here is a Big Baller?

>>
>$60k wageslave
I should be up to $70k in 5 years but fuck that. Probably going to travel and take contract assignments. Not bad for just a two year degree though. I know 6 figures is no longer that impressive, but growing up it always sounded like the magic number so I want to make $100k. That would mean somewhere like California and working 4 days a week though. Live like a pauper then go home and retire.
>>
>>38571979
There are a lot of software jobs here. You can probably find one you like.
>>
>>38572034
Do you know what kind of salary I can expect if I graduate with 2 internships and get good at interviews?
>>
>>38571928

why are you people here. if you make over 80k you should have no problems in life
>>
>>38572061
My starting salary was 98k but that may be on the high end. I'd say 80k would be more normal. But you can probably find statistics about it online.

>>
>>38572122
Also, I've thought about getting a better job that pays better but I can't see any options.
>>
>>38572079
Money buys happiness, everyone knows that. The problem comes from melancholy. That's different than just being sad or 'depressed'. Basically all I do is work and shitpost. The money stacks up and goes in mutual funds because I don't know or care about what to do with it. The only difference between now and 6 years ago as a student is I no longer have to bend down when shopping at the liquor store. That's another disappointment in it's self. Some things you see noticeable jumps in quality. Trading the Old Crow and Benchmark for Wild Turkey or Bulleit is noticeable. Going from Aristocrat to Smirnoff or Stoli less so. For gin Sometimes the bottom shelf stuff beats out most mid-range offerings. Burnetts is better than Seagrams or New Amsterdam. Tanqeray, Boodles, and Citadelle just barely beat Burnetts yet citadelle is 4x the price.

18, 7,000 dollars in profit on the stock market this year.

By the time I am 20 I'll probably be somewhere around 1-2 million a year.

No I don't trade crypto. Not nearly as easy to predict as the stock market and less diversity in pricing.

I guess 24 hour trading is nice but I know what times of the day stock prices move so I am probably staying away from crypto more or less.

I think there's not much relevance between the two fields unless you get into like information systems auditing or consulting.
