I typically just keep my mouth shut...
Inside I think to myself "Oh god please get away from me"

And then I realize it's my reflection on the window the whole time...

everyone just ignores you and ignores eye contact so much that it's painful

basically just that, from experience. nobody says anything, they just refuse to look at you. they do their best to ignore your existence.

i avoid ugly looking people at all costs, don't even look at them.
