Is starvation mode a meme? I've been trying to lose weight for a while. I've lost 15 pounds so far, but still have a ways to go. I have been eating 500 calories a day.
What do you mean is it a meme? You're eating less and losing weight. What more do you want?

its mostly a myth but you can still cause serious problems from malnutrition. Just google the symptoms of malnutrition and watch out for them. Be careful not to eat too much after fasting for a long period of time. Your digestive system will shut down and you can die if you don't start it back up slowly by drinking liquids like juice.

Starvation mode is disgustingly real, dieting is the real meme, all that leads to is more weight when you start eating again. It would be better to eat what you always eat and
>exercise
And at 500 calories a day, you're going to fucking balloon. You think 15 pounds loss is shit? Try gaining back 50+

Eating at a caloric deficit like that isn't going to help you stay thin.
You will just get fatter in the long run.
Starvation is a meme, you want to lose weight reduce your calorie intake by a small amount like 100-200 calories and heavily reduce your fat intake.
If you feel like it do some exercise, but it really doesn't matter.

Try incorporating intermittent fasting to your diet.

Intermittent fasting is a meme and has no research to back it up

I keep hearing about ballooning after losing weight. I lost a lot of weight recently very fast and I've kept it off for several months now. Will I still balloon at some point?
I'm a teen so my metabolism is high which might make me safer
Starving yourself is awful since your body literally uses less energy since you are biologically programmed to so once you eat less than 1000 calories a day.
Cut 500 calories from the recommend caloric intake for your weight instead.
You are gonna balloon up once you start eating normal portions again.

>several months
You're safe m8

the trick is to drink a lot of water as well as starving yourself. I lost five pounds in a month doing this.
The trick is to maintain your metabolism. Eat about 15% less calories, interspersed meals throughout the day, and do some like exercise. Changing what you eat, such as fats/carbs, etc, will also help. Simply stopping eating halts your metabolism and isn't very good.

Listen to >>38559681. If you starve yourself, that weight is gonna come back -- and possibly worse than ever.
I'd start with bodyweight exercises -- push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, lunges, and squats -- and doing at least 45-60 minutes of cardio, then work your way from there.

increase fat intake, decrease carbs. in fact no carbs. then exercise or wageslave then you will be too depressed to eat and get your exercise through working.
I lost a little weight recently due to stress, but I'm really happy with how I look. I went to the mall today and found a lot of nice clothes to wear, just tried them all on together at home and they actually look super good. I think I'll get my hair cut too, and try clearing my skin up more
