I may be alone in this, but i think 4chan is too raw and outright consuming to be corrupted. There have been multiple "deaths" of 4chan through the years, like /b/-day and Chanology or Operation Payback, the people who came here because of these event either adjusted or fucked off eventually. Sure, you can argue that those people brought on their own aura and changed the site in a way for the worst, but it never killed the site. They adapted the feeling of the site, they may not have gotten the style of the site at the time, but they did get the feeling. i have hope that the GG/Fappening and Election newfags will do the same.
So long as the cores of 4chan (Anonymity, Images, Japanese culture, Porn) are still in some way intact, then i don't see how the site could truly be dead.
