If I can't see them then I can't tell if they can't see me and that soothes me.
People have stopped asking me to make eye contact too, which is cool. They try harder to get my attention by just having more interestjng conversations with me so it all works out.

Eye contact is fucking weird. It's a gratifying experience to do it in a romantic setting, but I don't understand why it is used elsewhere.
Often I find myself forcing myself to make eye contact because of the social belief that it displays confidence and honesty, but most of the time I feel as if I'm doing it, not because I'm being confident or honest, but because I want to appear as being confident and honest. It's an odd game that I play into, and I don't think I will ever understand it.
Normies and their traditions are fucking weird, yo. What difference does it make where I'm looking when I talk. Shouldn't there be more focus on the content of the conversation and less on the alignment of arbritray body organs?
protip it's a skill you develop and the only way to get better is to do it
but don't let that information help you improve your life
