I have trouble beating the level 1 computer on chess.com. I have gotten better, but still get BTFO frequently. It's frustrating. How to get better?

have you watched OP chess vids anon?
learning top games helps your understanding of some position

Move my white King to e-5
>>38475778
Damn, well done black on that rematch. I thought that white had you in the corner with the bishop and queen.
>>38475934
im better at bullet than blitz.
i missed your queen earlier in the game.
>>38475950
I was spectator.
>>38475950

man, without time control it shows really how shit i am
>>38477886
You played well, your early game is on point, but your late is what asks to be improved the most. I'm not the best (years ago when I was properly playing I was rated 1790 at my absolute peak), but that's my advice if it means anything.
Was actually really fun playing again. Cheers for the matches.
Hey Mato hope you're doing good.

Nice to see the CCC is catching on!

i could saw the moves coming quite well up until middle game. End game is just too magical for me. Making wierd ass move is my specialty it's not working in endgame though

What do, la?
>tfw you try to do a cross-board wager but you don't notice the obvious check
>>38478258
black is, as far as i can tell, fucked up
at least put the black bishop back to g7
>>38478258
black's white bishop is also misplaced. put it on c6 so it could slice up the board quite well

>>38478524
Yea yeah. you're in zugzwang. time to resign
>>38478029
Good game Nightraiser. You could have taken with your rook for a quicker checkmate.
Well won from the ai on level 1. Moving on to level 2

where can I learn "chess theory" ?
also what is chess theory
>>38480065
Logical chess move by move seems to be a good start. I'm reading it now
you can get pretty much any book on gen.lib.rus.ec incase you didnt know

anyone here?

We need more of these threads, is lichess good?
I'm used to chess.cum
>>38480065
its a waste of time.
Read ten gold rules of how to move in opening.
Get good book on endgames and study it. Do several chess tactic everday on chesstempo.com. Its curcial to solve it in your head and when you are sure what to move, just move pieces.
>>38481588
I prefer lichess
The analysis tool is free and the layout is nicer
Theres also the fact that you can send out open invites with links

I'm worried about brainlets cheating though.there were threads of faggots admitting to using chess engines to play their games for them on here
>>38482011
>>38481917
Not that they couldn't cheat on chess.com
>>38482011
>there were threads of faggots admitting to using chess engines to play their games
That's true but Lichess caught the cheaters. Last thread king harold got busted by lichess cheating detection algorithm for making too many moves in common with the engine.

Wew lad
>>38482011
You should thanks people who use engines, they are usually brainlets and thanks to them you can see some high level moves.
>>38482480
normies are brainlets thus brainlets can't be robots
>>38482493
eh, don't GM's say that the way engines play feels unnatural? Like they'll pull out some realy counterintutive move that requires seeing four moves ahead for some small benefit
>>38482524
yeah, usually you can easily spot when somebody plays with engine because his moves are "dry", but at least you can learn how to play in the opening because it will exploit any mistakes.
normies play vidya
robots play chess

Ng4 discovered attack then attack the king
>>38479084
put the rook on the f file and the d file, try to close the centre. maybe find a safespot for your king on g7? or move the black bishop to g7
then thrust your f pawn to gain space and finnaly you'll have a room to breathe

is it better to capture the d pawn or advance your e pawn when black plays the scandi defense?
>>38487499
capture it, if queen takes d then Nf3 attacking the Queen.
If it's a modern scandinavian, don't defend it, leave the pawn on black's throat

Stop it anons. Your chess memes are too potent
Anyone else here just randomly make moves and defend pieces without any real long-term strategy and think 1-2 moves in advance before a flurry of material exchange and finding themselves down 3-4 points and in a shit position and getting btfo in the endgame?
>>38488488
this is what it feels like whenever you play someone better than desu
>>38488488
>defend pieces
> can't predict 3 moves ahead
you need cappablanca in you life
>>38488511
If cappablanca was as vehemently antisemetic as Fisher he would be my favorite chess player desu
>>38488504
My favorite is when we end up with the same exact material in the end game but my pieces are all sprawled out with no connection or reason and theirs are balanced and threatening king
>>38488511
I think part of the problem is that I played chess casually as a child and part of me still gets a big dopamine hit when I "take a piece" as though that is the point of the game or something
So I'm always thinking about material exchanges which maybe is enough to stalemate normies but then you play an actual player who is rather thinking about position and you get checkmated
>>38488545
>big dopamine hit when I "take a piece"
> thinking about position
Well, you should consider to do the opposite.
sac a piece, it'd make bigger dopamine impact for me as if it's the point of the game :^)
