Former English majors what are you doing now ?

I don't get why people would want to major in English

Like, it's not even an interesting subject, coupled with the fact that job options aren't that great after unless you go to law school, make it seem kinda like the worst of both worlds

I love literature and got an 800 in both the SAT's reading comp and the SAT II's English Literature without studying. I'm shit-to-passable at everything else, so a Lib-Arts degree with a minor in some foreign language is actually the only course I could fully justify if I go to college.

Law school is just like mixing classes in an mmo and its the prestige class. Theres better subclasses you could take, such as poli sci, econ, or history. They teach you better research skills than English.
