religion isn't really like "hurr rdurr i believe in god so i'm religious".
for me it's more like you have to use it as a guideline on how to live a good life and be a good person and still don't have to believe in god.
just imagine god as you waifu, you know she doesn't really exist but you still respect her.

I understand what you're saying, and agree to some extent. Belief in God is not the issue, it's repenting, turning from sin and trusting in the work of Christ alone on the cross for salvation. Once the Spirit of God works in somebody, they desire to honor God in their lives, not out of a desire for reward. We may stumble, but that fundamental conviction remains true.

Catholics are the way they are because Jews successfully infiltrated them centuries ago. Orthodox managed to keep the anti-semitism alive and are still doing well as a result of it.
