Spider-man ga daisuki.
>>
>>38465617
I do. Mostly like Marvel but some DC is good too, I liked The Flash. I love Superheroes and all that.
>>
>>38465617
I used to really like them when I was younger, but now pretty much the only time I consume any superhero media is when I go see a normalfag Marvel movie.

I just like certain comic characters in general. I wouldn't really consider Dr. Doom a long-time superhero.

I just wanted to be a JoJo and defeat enemy stands. But instead of just a 22 khv who gets defeated by jew chads
>>
>>38465617
I have a feeling that /r9k/ is by majority kids that shit post all there issues here and as almost all polls here have shown the average age is 19.
>>
>>38465751
Stands are a very specific type of super-power. Like ninjas. Jojo probably doesn't count as a super-hero.
>>
>>38465617

I have a feeling, that robots who've been here (metaphorically here, I mean lived a robot lifestyle) for too long, actually love the supervillians more.

No not really, I like batman and a few others but I was never a great fan of them, actually I'm very tired of capeshit movies, loved watchmen though.
>>
I find super heroes incredibly dull. Some guy saves the day with special powers. The narrative builds up his personal struggle, then shows him defeating the villain in some flashy way while asserting his personal values. Rinse and repeat endlessly.

See? I knew /r9k/ loved superheroes. My theory is that since most of us are depressed, superhero stories are both an escape but also a way to relate to struggle, since these heroes are fighting villains endlessly and facing unhappiness constantly, they symbolize our own sadness/problems and give us hope by allowing us to continue on by not leaving our shitty lives, but to continue on with them proudly.
>>
>>38465876
Different super-heroes do different things. Spider-man is relateable. Super-man is a god. Bat-man is justice etc.

My hero academia taight me that I still desire to be a hero. A desire I had nearly forgotten since spider-man first made me realize. I want to have the power to do the right thing. I want to be better than I am. It's too bad heroism is so hard to achieve with a normal body and cowardly personality.
>>
>>38465876
I relate to the villains more most of the time.

Meh, like comic book characters /universes because they are more amusing and surreal. Most shit that happens irl could never happen in (for example) the Marvel or DC universe.
>>
>>38465967
This. Although I wonder if people like The Punisher and Batman are possible.
>>
>>38465617
never gave the slightest bit of a fuck about superheroes or comics
I'd fucking love to be selectively invisible and invincible tho
>>
>>38466049
Batman is a no.
Punisher is a maybe for a short while.
>>
>>38466049
Yes but only for a brief period of time. The police IRL are a lot more competent and the FEDs would catch the would be heroes. Also despite my love for some comics, they have a lot of ex-machinas to keep the characters afloat.
>>
>>38465876
Anon :3 Are you actively reading/collecting comic books right now? Who are your favorite superheroes?
>>
>>38466162
So as long as this Batman is also a cop, we're in the clear?

Yes and no actually, it wouldn't just require a lot of money but also a very high intelligence and proper advanced military training, obviously they also wouldn't be able to fight more than one opponent at once so it would more akin to a serial killer that only kills "bad" people.
>>
I know they're for underage autists or manchildren. Please refrain from posting to /tv/, and post to /co/ instead.
>>
>>38466279
No because Batman is implying he's going above the law to enforce it. Superheroes are all vigilantes it's as simple as that.
>>
>>38466350
This is /r9k/ you mongoloid.
>>
>>38466293
True, it's 100% possible to be Batman or the Punisher but your time actually fighting crime would be really, really short lived. Half a year tops.
>>
>>38466209

Yeah, I love comics and I follow them weekly on /co/. I read a buncha titles. Favorite characters are probably The Flash, Robin, Agent Venom, Mera (from Aquaman)
>>
I like super heroes. I remember being bit by a spider when i was 7 and got really excited at the possibility of becoming spiderman's sidekick.
>>
>>38466628
How do you go about getting into comic books now? i use to read comics when i was a kid from my dads old comic book collection or I'd go to comic book stores and get old comics from the silver age for cheap because new stuff was expensive.
>>
>>38466870
Go to your local library if it's big enough and start from there. You can get comic lootcrates but that's a gamble and costs more money.

Deadman my dude.

DC was glorious before the late 1990's.
Marvel was glorious before the films.
Image Comics was great before 2015~ish
IDW has always been OK if you like their titles
Darkhorse was great before they got bought out
Action Lab is still awesome
Most indie companies have titles worth saving

but on the whole modern comics are dead

I say stick to the old school Batman, Plasticman, Deadman, and the best of the best with Superman, Wonderwoman (her new 52 run wasn't half bad for the first few volumes), Thor, Ironman, Captain America, Shazam, and Marvel's old major events like Infinity Gauntlet.

I used to work in a comic book store and I fucking hate comic books in their current state. Ask me anything.

Just dive in and start reading dude. Doesn't matter where. Superheroes aren't a completionist medium like watching a movie trilogy. Just dive in to the endless characters and adventures, old or new.

I recommend reading them in collected edition format (the books you can put on a shelf that collect multiple issues into a thicker book) and you can just buy those things off amazon.

There's a popular website you can read everything for free "Read Comic Online" just google dude.

Yeah. This is why i could relate to Samuel L. Jackson's character in unbreakable so much. Being asocial and introverted as a teen made me look up at comic book heroes like they were real. Realising that these universes are purely fictional was a tough pill to swallow. I wanted to be a hero or even a villain so much.i Just wanted something that's extraordinary..

Reminds me of the battleworld issue where the punisher became the sorcerer extreme and murdered everyone.
