Any ADHDbros here? Got any tips suitable for a Cyborg? I would really like to learn chess but #1 beginner lesson is 54 minutes long and I just can't.

Also, it would be nice if you filled these

They are. But they only help some things. Or to maybe improve my focus etc.
Straterra is a 3rd gen ADD/ADHD medicine and it's addiction free.
It ould be nice if you got treated because ADHD is not only what it seems to be on the surface. It might be the source of your unhappiness my friend.
Watch this and decide.

Im too scared to seek help, mainly because everyone in my family believes its fake
>>
>>38464187
You don't need to tell your family. It will be easier. But honestly watch the video. Decide AFTER you watched it.
>>
>>38464207
Yeah ive been unmotivated and distracted since childhood its weird seeing other people so motivated i got horrid grades growing up because i was distracted, fired from multiple jobs , life is like a big blurr i cant complete any goal unless im extremely interested
>>
>>38464081
I still haven't been oficially diagnosed, but I'm going to visit a shrink to firstly get a diagnosis and possibly work on my major ADHD issues. Though I don't need medication, I'm a NEET in NO NEED to be productive, a coffee keeps me going
>>
>>38464391
Get help. Trust me
>>
>>38464520
Too scared too, not going to happen. i will sit and continue to be a sad neet alcoholism is increasing as it makes me feel more human
>>
>>38464520
could it have something to do with my diet or something? does removing certain foods help
>>
>>38464593
Well, you should limit sugar consumption and gluten. It works for me. Everytime I binge on sweets/gluten I'm getting so hyperactive, no concentration and the next day is even worse. It's not easy as ADHD folks tend to crave carbs more than neurotypical ppl, but it is attainable.
>>
>>38464729
So that can be a reasonable replacement for official treatment

Struggled through university and grad school thinking I was just a fuck-up who lacked discipline (still kind of am). Finally got diagnosed after my girlfriend pressured me to go get tested.

My quality of life has really gone up since I started it. I've been doing better at work. The meds really help me cut out all the bullshit brain fog that usually really screws with my ability to actually be productive. I still have a lot of personal work to do before I'm really happy with where I'm at mentally, though.

Deal with ADHD don't take meds, stay true to thineself
>>
>>38464836
Here
>>38464879
It's only been a little while, but I like myself better on the meds. It hurts creative thinking a bit, but it's helped every other aspect, and creativity is useless if you can't actually focus and do anything with it.
>>
>>38464751
Wouldn't go that far, I have a rather healthy lifestyle, well maybe not that much lately due to personal issues, and ADHD symptoms still weigh on me, but I know it could be even worse if I ate junk food and didn't exercise.

ADHD-PI reporting in.
>Got any tips suitable for a Cyborg?
Yeah. Budget your time. Take your meds. You're going to have to learn things differently from the normies, but that's okay. You will adapt and you will overcome.

For example, right now I'm actually studying for some marketing stuff. I'm taking a quick break to answer your questions. I find short breaks help me when I'm unfocused.

I learned chess by simply playing it. I've never lost a match to date.

Medication: Concerta

Time on medication: 20+ months
Age: 18

kek i'v been running about unmedicated ofr about 4 years

[spoilers] don't do drugs[ /spoiler]

I take Vyvanse 60 mg still can't focus now I can't eat. Plus I never learned any math in hs. God I just wish I could die.

I finish everything last minute, I somehow make it work, but I am still struggling with it daily.

It helped, but it was like I would hyper focus on one thing, and it felt like my day would be over in 2 minutes. I didn't stop taking Adderall by choice, my doctor fucked up, and I lost my prescription. I never wanted to sign up for the 3-year waiting list to see another psychiatrist.

Adderall made me a million times more effective; I think I'm going to try to get my prescription back now that I'm entering uni.

I have been off of the meds for 7 years. Because they would make me act strange, violent outbursts, no hunger, and I could not function without them, plus they where expensive.
Age: 19

Although some of you guys have been talking about Straterra. I don't plan on taking drugs to treat my ADHD, because I have grown to a point where I don't need it, but I do want to try some legal amphetamines for when I need to focus.
>>
>>38464157
Everyone talks about taking drugs just to study but it sounds like people with adhd need them to be a normal human
>>
>>38465667
It's hard to explain kinda.
>>
>>38465611
caffeine used to work well when i didnt have tolerance, i mean i couldnt focus extremely well but it took the edge off and i could at least listen to peoples boring rambling

I have ADHD. I used to have focus/motivation problems, but now I take meds and I hyperfocus on the wrong things instead of doing things I need to like apply for jobs, learn new job skills, etc.
>>

There have been periods where I quit caffiene for a week or so that way I can it's effectiveness back.

I gives me such a warm flooding feeling of relaxation comparable to an orgasm to some good porn.

I have adhd, I used to take meds for it but stopped because they didn't do anything and were kind of expensive. Now I buy beer with the money.
>>
>>38464081
Any opinions on drugs? I was diagnosed in primary school and too ritalin between the age of 13 and 17, but I fucking hated it. I tried concerta afterwards but I don' think it really helped. Vyvanse is what I use when I need to study or do an assignment and so far it's the best in my opinion.
>>
>>38466826
I've tried most of the stimulant meds so here's my opinion

Dexedrine>Adderall>Vyvanse>Concerta/Ritalin
>>
>>38466939
Never tried the first two, pretty much no-one has adderall in Australia so it's usually ritalin or concerta.
>>
>>38467239
does ritalin or concerta do anything decent? in terms of concentration i don't care about euphoria
>>
>>38466939
i actually prefer vyvanse to everything else i've tried, as a medication at least.

could be tho because i used to be an addict and the doctor wasn't too keen on prescribing dexamphetamine

still prefer dexies or meth for partying though
