It's fairly reliable, but keep in mind that it keeps track of personalities, not opinions. I'm a INTJ, but I'm a devout Christian and a 1776'er on top of that. After taking that test for 2 years (6 months break from each test) I got INTP results.
While I do see how a lot of characteristics of INTP actually imply on me, I for some reason do have my doubts.

I try not to be chained by the thought that a specific personality is what will determine my life and how I will do.

Always got an INTP on all the tests before.
Either I'm bs, the test is bs, or maaaaybe putting people into 16 categories is fun and all and can give you an idea about what could be inside their head, but it probably won't be an accurate representation.

Still don't know if I'm an INFP or INFJ. I do hate doing things without some sort of a solid plan, but it's all generally pretty informal and just kept in my head. I don't use calender's and shit. So yeah the way I organize things can feel pretty chaotic but there is a weird structure to it all.

Also INFP's just seem a bit too open with all the lovey dovey feely stuff for me to relate. I mean I do get that in a sense but it's generally pretty internal. Though maybe INFP's do that too, I don't know. I guess it's a pretty INFP thing to think that you're some special snowflake INFJ, so that's why I'm hesitant to really accept it.

I'm basically equal parts INTP and INFP. I'm pretty good at reading people and considering their feelings, but I still try to be objective and not let the emotions influence me too much, because I know that's bad. I try to create a good balance between the two. I'm the kind of introvert who can strike up a conversation with a stranger without difficulty, but I don't let my true self show until I know the person well enough.

I'm not really a robot either, I have a decent social life and I'm in college, but I don't have a lot of meatspace friends who know the true me, which kinda sucks
