I know someone who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Doctors gave him antipsychotics and antidepressants. He now literally acts like a robot. He can't focus too well and has a hard time following long deep conversations or trains of thought. I feel sorry for the dude, but its just so boring to talk to him. All he keeps talking about is this girl at work that he likes and nothing else.

Been described several, haven't taken any for many years. I personally couldn't find any that worked for me - or they worked too well and made me feel empty/like an actual robot.

Nowadays I have worked through most of my depression/anxiety and can almost function in society without antidepressants. Take that with a grain of salt, I am posting in /r9k/ after all.

Used to be heavily against taking antidepressants, but if they work for you and make your life easier then by all means use them. I know people who do a lot better with antidepressants than before them.

SSRI's are total garbage if you ask me
Ask for snri's, they are not a hardcore class of drug (such as xanax) but its stronger than ssri's
