Think about flipping a coin and hoping it lands on heads- there's a 1:2 chance it will, but you could flip it 1,000 times and never get heads once.

Reduce your expenditures on lottery tickets to a minimum level to contain damage from your gambling addiction.

Whatever you do, don't spend significant dollars on the lottery. Your chances are not really improved if you by one ticket or ten.
