If I get a BA from a good school, will the fact I had to get a GED matter for grad school or employment?
I was doing really well in HS but I had to dropout senior year for family reasons. I got a really high score on my SAT so I plan on going to Community for two years before transferring to a big school, then seeing if I can get a job with my BA and if I can't I'll go to grad school
I'm doing the same thing as you, going to a community college then transferring. Basically nothing from high school matters. It's only meant to give an indication of whether you'll be able to pass college classes. If you go to community college and pass all your classes, that's better proof than anything you would do in high school.

GED only looks bad if its the only thing you got, you'll be fine anon.
Employers just want proof that you're capable of committing to something long term and completing it.
You can just lie on your resume that you graduated high school normally and no one would ever know. They would not look that up and wouldn't know how to. If anything, they will ask you for proof that you graduated college.
