Nah I'd say its just self motivation to say those things to yourself. Youre just speaking your thoughts, nothing wrong with that.

It's not the act of talking to yourself necessarily, but what you say to yourself. If you're motivating yourself, that's good; if you're just berating yourself, that's bad. Think about it if you're only saying nasty things to yourself: how would you feel if someone else said those things to you? Would you let them?
