If not, you should kneel down within 10 metres of the cat and have your hand outstretched in it's direction. Don't make eye contact. The cat will take it as an invitation. If it doesn't come up to you to rub against your hand then you'll never catch it. Better to give up.

Invite it to your home and give it milk

You could rush home and come back with some small cuts of meat to lure it. I don't think it'll come near you with your dog around.

Yeah I'm walking home with my dog right now, he started barking at it from the trail is what got my attention. When o get home I will see if my town has any way to report found pets. Afraid coyotes are going to get it though
