Should I skip work?

I work in a Big 4. Today starts a mandatory seminar that lasts 2 weeks. I had to do some mandatory online courses before.

Long story short, I didn't do them, something irrelevant happened, the point is I didn't do them. Today I could finish them.

Should I call in sick and finish them today, and go tomorrow to the course?

Should I go today to the seminar, even if I didn't do the mandatory courses and face humiliation/getting kicked out in front of everyone?
