Why is part 5 japans favorite one?
personally I loved part 4 the most and reading part 5 right after it just felt like the characters weren't as well fleshed out.

Part 5 had really shitty translations that cut out a lot of the character's personalities. It's only fairly recently that it's getting the translations it deserves.

Part 4's characters were a lot less fleshed out so I'm not sure what you mean. Unless you read bad translations and not recent ones, part 5's cast got a lot more development and didn't have dumb unresolved stories like the thing with Josuke's hair origin. I don't know why exactly it's japan's favorite, I'm not japanese, but I've seen that it's been said quite a bit.

I'm an anime fag up until part 4 idk if they fleshed them out better in the anime than the manga but when I read part 5 It felt like a lot of the gang was just kind of there and that Bucciarati and giorno were the only important characters.
either way I still immensely enjoyed part 5 and im looking forward to it being animated

I think I read somewhere that japs like part 5 better than 4 because it's a lot more exotic in comparison. I can see why they'd see Morioh as a more domestic and not as exciting enviroment in contrast with the whole Italian thing. Looks and aesthetics are also quite more different and refreshing I guess.

Also, people say the fights in Vento Aureo are really cool. I do not know, though, I haven't got that far into the manga, but I'm quite in love with DU.
