Basically what he's saying is that since Google now has algorithms to better suit your interests it now means that people will live in blissful ignorance because they will live in their own safe space without ever seeing opinions from the other side, thus making them lazy to seek valuable information because they think everything is ok. Every website that uses google analytics or has a facebook share button or google ads or uses one of them retarded stylesheets from Google or has a facebook comment section or a twitter comment section or an embedded youtube video or a google plus button or they are getting a popular JS script that isn't even neccessary and you could have avoided by using the standard JS library loaded from Google or they are using some Amazon web services shit or they are using a font from Google or embed a twitter post or embed a facebook post ETC., ETC., ETC... can track you.
