There's always the possibility, that's what I thought at first too but don't get your hopes up. The chance it will backfire on you is pretty big and even if you did end up with her you'll always have to worry about if she ever truly got over him, and the chance that she might leave you to go back to him. Trust me, I was in your exact position a year ago and it didn't work out for me at all. Even now the chance of me getting with her years from now once she's a single mother is still there since I doubt their relationship will survive the first few years of this, and I'm probably pathetic enough to actually take it if it did appear.
