I saw the title and couldn't resist. I also just got Bloody Wednesday, so I'm about ready to have a hay-day!

For those unfamiliar with mass murders, the morning before James Huberty went to the San Ysidro McDonald's, he told his wife that he was going "hunting humans."

Depends on what you read, I'd say readireading is better than watching tv or even being on 4chan.

It's no coincidence that the advertisements are geared towards overly sexualized lies, presented to a crowd of sexually depraved young makes between the ages of 18-30 (on average). Not to mention the jew bot threads trying to implement BBC and traps into our minds and they're succeeding. The power of inclusion is a powerful tool, even if you don't agree with a topic, it still becomes more powerful from the attention it draws.

Reported for false reporting. Here's the rules for r9k. Also why don't you try visiting some of the porn boards on here sometime newfag?

1. If you attempt to post something unoriginal, it is not posted, and you are muted temporarily.
2. The time with which you are muted for doubles with each transgression.
3. Each mute time is 2^n in seconds where n is the number of times you have transgressed. So, your mute time doubles each time you fuck up.
4. Backlinks, eg >>1, are not viewed by the robot. So "lolwut" and ">>2 lolwut" are the same post, in the eyes of the robot.
5. Gibberish at the end of a post to force originality may result in mod intervention (no BLOX posts please).
6. Images are NOT included in the filter, only text.
7. Your mute count slowly decreases over time.
8. You cannot post a picture without text.
9. Unicode is blocked. Sorry, too many exploits (Cyrillic letters, etc).
10. Posts require a certain minimum amount of original content in order to be posted.
11. Post sane, real content, well thought out replies, and mutes are unlikely.

I've read about 20 pages and I love it, Camus is the best. After this I'm gonna tackle the Iliad

Some other random stuff I bought at the bookstore. A huge guide to horses and one for snakes, an outdoor survival manual for toilet reading

It's like the store decided to drop their fantasy section, only found one thing worth reading in that whole place- they switched it to fucking translated shitty manga series.

>>38382445
I'll take that I suppose. Since it's not a massive tome like 1Q84, I'm fine with it being decent

How'd you like Stoner? Just a meme or is it worth a read
>>

I read that maybe a month ago, and you are actually pretty correct, the main character does a whole lot of shit I'd expect from a robot

So I bought Nausea and Being and Nothingness because I wanted to look smart and be smart. I feel like a pretentious ass whenever I bust them out and I haven't learned anything. I'm like halfway through Nausea and it's just a bunch of rambling from a guy who's basically a robot just simply observing people in mundane situations. It's comfy af but I don't understand why people say it's good, it has no substance as far as I can tell. And I haven't started being and nothingness yet because people say it's boring and even pointless if you haven't read nausea.

Pretty sure philosophy is not really a smart person thing, it's a lazy, pretentious, and maybe even dumb person thing. Should've gotten some science books instead. I would've actually learned something. I don't see how philosophy would even make you smarter, now that I think about it. How does it apply to life? Most people that philosophize are just ranting about things from their perspective from what I see.

After taking the big 5 personality (a scientist approved one, 300 questions), I realized I was highly neurotic. So far I'm midway in the book and it's hitting all the points. Turns out I've been neurotic my entire life.

>I daydream about positions of power
>dream about vindictive victories
>thin-skinned
Neurotic men are also very effeminate, I wonder how I can change that?
>>
>>38383677
I am also very neurotic and somewhat effeminate. I'm even bulimic. How do you feel the book has helped you?

I've only read midway so it hasn't help me fully yet. But it has really shed some light on the problems in certain ways I think.

For example, neurotic people tend to take this "too far", like interpreting a joke to mean something far more than what it actually is. Neurotic people are oriented towards negative emotion. The best way this book has helped me so far, is to become more self aware of neurotic forms of thinking, and has encouraged me to be more "mentally self-discipline", aka not trusting my immediately thoughts on the matter and doing more HONEST self analysis.

Some ways to manage neuroticism are:
>meditation
as in breathing in deeply, relaxing, and clearing your mind. Focus on nothing, and everytime your mind wanders, bring it back focusing on nothing. Eventually you'll realize that you're separate from your neurotic thoughts, and you don't need to be controlled by them.
>taking showers everyday
>exercising
>eating healthy
>adhering to a schedule
>having a goal

New season in a couple days. I like the book and the series so far, but I'm not sure if I will like the dialogue and plot lines written by D&D will be very good. I'm only on the first book, but from what I can tell, the show's deviation in terms of writing has only worsened the quality of the story.

I've just finished a clockwork orange, 7/10 a solid novel but a bit over rated imo. Mostly seems like an old boomer type complaining about the route society he thinks is heading.

Just started on lolita after pausing it a while back, Humbert is gross and mentally weak to his own desires. I'll probably finish it this week or so
