>the absolute state of American Protestantism
I'm an atheist, but I really hate seeing this kind of stuff. It seems like it degrades and vulgarizes something that should be somber and subtle. Truly great ideas can't be summed up on pithy t-shirts and trying to do so necessarily degrades them.

>HURRR LOOK AT ME IM ATHEIST LOL GOD ISNT REALL HAHA XD
fuck off back to ribbit you fucking cuckold
>>38357851
I'm very religious, and I agree with you. "Funny" Christian t-shirts make me angry.
>>38357866
See, this guy tried to compress his point to some trite boilerplate that was supposed to be funny and he sounds like a fucking moron and conveys nothing.
>>38357328
Jesus doesn't give a fuck about you if he was a real person he died long before I existed. I don't know how you people can believe in and worship god. Like if he does exist he made your life shitty for no reason.
>>38357866
this
I swear atheists can't go one minute without expressing hate for a God they claim they don't believe exists.
>>38357960
I know right? Fucking retards man
>>38357960
When did I express hate for god? I think I did quite the opposite. I mentioned it because it seemed pretty salient to the question. If I'm expressing an opinion on a religious matter my belief seems pretty likely to color that opinion. More like full disclosure than anything else.

Part of our total cultural debasement.
>>38357851
I totally agree. If I were a Christian, I would turn to orthodoxy. There is no sanctity, no sense of reverence to God in most protestant and baptist churches.
>>38357328
Yeah man, so evil Jesus lovers with their t-shirts, what's wrong with them right? Let's get back to our cuckporn and frogposting.
Hating on christians is middle school tier edgy.
>>38358137
I don't hate Christians. I hate their irreverent, borderline disrespectful t-shirts.
>>38358137
Yeah, we should be hating on muslims, like real men.
Christians are wrong to try to tailor their message to millennial internet culture. Christianity will only thrive again if it offers an alternative that is in stark contrast to the rest of this collapsing society.
who /lds one true religion/ here?

What's Andy Worhol doing with an M4
>>38357328
ya but jesus never existed but kanye exists right now
checkmate, christcucks
>>38359164
This is absolutely true. Christianity can never be cool. It is the opposite of cool.
>>38359164
>>38359359
Yeah, this Buzzfeed Christianity needs to go:

Some Lutheran guy made fun of this video and it made me laugh.

I'm not particularly religious, but my family church is very solemn (Byzantine Catholic, which follows the Pope but has traditions more like Orthodox churches) and all of this cutesy "Jesus loves you" bullshit pisses me off too.
I was taught that being Christian was about making yourself into someone worthy of God's grace, not about blathering empty words about Jesus and using it as an excuse to be an asshole while patting yourself on the back.
>>38359462
That was stupider than the real video.
>>38359530
There's some pretty funny videos on this guy's channel.

Christianity no longer exists in america.
We have a filthy corrupted blaspheming blight of a religion that is nothing more than judaism for goyim servants
>>38357851
agreed. american evangelical christianity is a joke.
>>38359462
This guy's rant is funnier:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-I1nRR6cNA
>>38359638
What's funny to me is that this guy's form of Christianity is probably just as far removed from the original as the versions that the people he's criticizing espouse.
>>38359712
how so? fill me in, I'm a complete pleb when it comes to christian theology and history
>>38359441
that picture always makes me so angry

Wasn't 4chan mostly an atheist site many years ago? What happened?
>>38357866
>Being this triggered by someone merely stating that he's an atheist
The guy you replied to wasn't even being anti-religious, he was just saying "Even though I'm not a believer myself, I still hate seeing religion being degenerated into meme T-shirts.".
