Yeah, I go to university in California so I know quite a few feminists, some of which could be considered hardcore. There are a few who are basically Tumblr incarnate but most are capable of having an intelligent discussion so long as you don't shitpost irl, and I'm relatively conservative, especially compared to my peers here.

I've met 2, from 2 separate educational institutions. To provide some context, I live in a relatively conservative country (Singapore) left wing movements except for things like religious harmony and environmental protection are next to non existent, protesting except in designated Parks are prohibited. Even lgbt shit is illegal. The first feminist I met was when I was in Secondary School (Sort of high school equivalent) I met her through my circle of friends who were 8-9/10 staceys and a couple of chads, the girls outnumbered guys 2:1 though. Either way I met this girl who was maybe a 2-4/10 whose viewpoint were very similar to feminist viewpoints and identified herself as one, she wasn't well liked by the group though and eventually the Staceys got tired of her shit and there was a big falling out with lots of drama. More recently when I met her at a reunion she dyed her hair full on blue/green which when I saw I burst out in laughter because I thought feminist with dyed hair was a meme. The second feminist I've come to meet is from orientation at the institution where I currently preside, I only met her through orientation where we were supposed to give a brief introduction and she talked about how she was a feminist and issues prevalent in our society. If you ask me if they have been mean spirited, I can say yes, but not always , angry, sometimes , bitter and resentful person , i would say yes. None of them have ever openly resented me, but most people I know have never displayed open hostilities. Even though I was a 1/10 most staceys in my class and other classes liked m and their the only reason why I have a socially life. None of the other guys invited me out, not the nerds, the sports kids or the vidya kids and the weebs.

I used to work part time on campus and would often close the store with this girl who was chubby, into capeshit and star wars, described herself as "pansexual," etc. It was a miracle she didn't have some special snowflake pronouns and only dyed her hair one color. Anyway, when I first started working there I thought we'd never get along but we actually managed to have good talks about things such as gun rights, black lives matter, and religion even though we disagreed on them.

Most people (men and women) that I know would losely identify as feminists so I've met many who are and many who are not. I live in socialist Canada run by Prime Minister Dress Up who is the most outspoken male feminist of them all because it wins him elections though.
