>i work in construction and unironically enjoy my job
Is this bad?
>>38316939
what stuff are you constructing?
>>38316939
having fun doing work sounds nice
>>38316939
enjoy it when your back is destroyed at age 40
naw. from the folks i've talked to, construction can be quite a mellow and easy going job, with the biggest hindrance being weather (whether it's too cold or too hot)
>>38316952
I'm currently working on a house but I've worked on larger buildings
>>38316979
Nigga I know people who fucked up their back and joints working in a cubicle for 20 years.
>>38316939
No. It's better than working in a cubicle and chicks love it.

Residential construction is comfy as fuck. Industrial construction is hell.
>>38317003
>chicks love it
REEEEEEEEEEE GTFO NORMAN!
>>38317016
Residential is pretty comfy, I can often work at my own pace and hang out.
Industrial can be on a tight schedule but it usually isn't too crazy.
Overall I'd say it's a nice job.
Construction would be one of my dream jobs if it didn't pay like shit and I didn't have to work with normans.
Not at all in you're self sufficient.
thats all that really matters.
What do construction people do in the winter?

>What do construction people do in the winter?
Rush and do as much as possible when the weather is good. Chill when you can't do anything.
>>38317016
I've had the opposite experience, since residential jobs are generally smaller and tighter-budget I'm generally held to a much higher standard as far as working every second of the day, as efficiently as possible. Commercial is much more relaxed, but then again my commercial experience is almost all warehouse, which is probably much more relaxed than other kinds of commercial. I've heard, for instance, some real high-stress stories of working on the new Tesla plant in Nevada.

>if it didn't pay like shit
Just saw an opening for a carpenter that paid 52 bucks an hour, 40 hours a week.
>tfw to intelligent to give enough commitment to have a job that high-pay
I've been paid 46/hr for a few days (going-wage, etc.) but generally speaking the best I've made is about 21 bucks an hour. I move around a lot, can't stay put in one place too long.

>What do construction people do in the winter?
The redpilled ones do construction in the winter. The nigs and nig-identifying smoke pot and get welfare for their 12 children and 4 baby mommas. Only one of these groups, however, will ever get past "laborer" and start making 80-120k.
>tfw it's pretty easy to make money in construction
>tfw you just have to be white and commit yourself
>tfw can't commit myself to one location
No, but normalfags think its bad to enjoy jobs that they would not enjoy
