My mom made me go once, it was about a year after I graduated high school and still haven't gotten a job. I never did shit with my family and my mom thought it would help me, it of course didn't. What did help was eventually getting a job and stop giving a fuck about what other people think.

Once you get a job and start interacting with other adults, you realize that they're stupid and shouldn't care what they think. If you really care that some douche thinks you're fat or whatever there's something wrong with you.

1. how old are you OP, answer honestly
2. are you willing to open up to a stranger, even though they're licensed and have heard a hundred stories like yours and worse than yours?
3. are you willing to do what you're told, even though it may involve taking meds that can hurt you or therapy that will definitely be unpleasant?

if you answered yes to all three it's worth it. if not don't waste your money and their time.
