Crowster aka "trips birb" is now back with his parents.
He was a lot more lively today, and kept squawking at windows (not doing much of anything except eat yesterday) so I took him back to near where I found him, and left him on a raised metal platform within sight of the local grackle population
Once I'd gotten far enough away, one of them flew over with some worms and started feeding him.
