They are almost exactly the same, the angle in the OP pic makes it look different. He has pretty much no recession. The hair on Shia's temple (the sides near eyebrows) is actually less receded and more further forward.

He is obviously balding all over the top of his head though, he either masks it with that powder stuff or had a transplant done. In that picture he looks fine, but you can see his shit being fucked up in certain pictures.

If your hairline shape is like his you are fine for now, but if you are thinning behind the hairline you are fucked.
