i pulled my gamecube out of my closet and tried to boot animal crossing up again but it just isn't the same. it feels like everything is a hell of a lot easier to access than i remember. rip hours upon hours invested and making a town on another character just so i could take the train to visit someone for once

now that i think about it, i guess those characters were really my only friends at the time. there was a small group of kids who lived near me (really really rural so no one else besides them) and they didn't like me so i actually cried when various characters would leave town despite my pleas and attempts to reconcile them
