How can coffee smell so good and taste so bad?

Coffee tastes great.
I would drink it everyday if I didn't have IBS and it didn't feel like swallowing daggers everything I had a sip.

To me it smells like shit and tastes worse, I don't know why everyone loves it and I just can't.
I can't even ask a girl for a coffee because I hate it.

Coffee tastes pretty fucking good when it's decent, but I agree that a lot of what normies drink is pretty shit.
