Remove distractions. Use a pencil (or any pointy object) as a guide along the text - keep up with the object with your eyes. Reading is a skill

Being able to do math in your head has nothing to do with how good you are at math. Many people can only work with math if they write things down for visualization. Basic arithmetic is something that merely requires practice

If you need to multiply in your head go off on your 5's and 10's because theyre easier to remember. For example 8*7 whats 8*5 thats 40 now you have two more 8's to count thats 16+40? 56

Can't even decipher what long word questions ask. Tests are hell.

I always felt so smart in highcool, number 1 or 2 in class and all of that. Now that I'm in college I'm like a helpless monkey left to try to feed itself, let alone learn complicated math and shit. I wasn't meant for this life I guess. Feelsbad to disappoint parents so much
