when I'm feeling really frisky I like to study for a few hours while on my 10 mg of prescribed adderall

how hard is it to get a prescription? do i have to go to a phych?

i work around normies and just want the day to fly by but im scared imight be more outgoing than usualand ill say some weird shit out of the false sense of sobriety/ openess it gives you.

Diagnosed ADHD-PI reporting in. Been on meds for like 10 years. I'm on 30mg of Adderall XR right now. I might be able to answer some questions

If you actually NEED the meds, I would describe a therapeutic dose as calming. Yes, that's right, calming. A lot of people think Amphetamines=tweaking out, but that's far from the truth. You will be able to concentrate better, that's for sure, but the REAL benefit of finding the right med and the right dose is no longer being a complete slave to your impulses. You will feel in control of yourself, at ease, and most of all, clearminded. It's like the fog being lifted.

I don't know what it's like to get diagnosed as an adult, but when I was a kid, it took a lot more than just going to a doctor.

>Taken to eye therapy (look this up, it's common for ADHD kids to also have poor eye control) for like two years

I'm late to this thread but I've been prescribed adderall for about 4 years now. I'm not ADD/ADHD.

I went to a therapist like 6 times (once a week) and talked about issues I was having that were stress and recreational drug related (that i didn't realize at the time). Went to a psych and was prescribed an anti psychotic that turned out to be 800 a month and just said fuck it and went cold turkey from everything. Eventually told my psych guy that I was doing fine and really just wanted something to help me focus and get my life together. I literally asked for adderall and ativan for the comedown. He gave it to me without batting an eye.

I used to enjoy it while in school, i was able to study and enjoy doing fun hobby activities. I would even take them to go out and socialize cus i am really bad at socializing normally. But now that i'm out of school I barely take it and really only do it when I have my own work to do.

However, now I'm 25 and whenever I take it i really regret it. I hate the comedown and whenever I take it i know how much I will hate the comedown. It also makes me just want to look at porn all day and drink, i'll look at porn for hours and i'll just be fine with it, even if i planned to take it to get some personal work done. Like I said I am not ADD, but I have like 30 more pills with no intent of getting more because of how shitty it makes me feel after 5-6 hours.

I can't relate to you, but I know what it's like to only want to drink when on uppers.

used to take a bunch of research chemicals like ethylphenidate, a-pvp, 4-fa, methiopropamine, a couple other stimulant types. Basically when the short acceleration toward the high was concluded, I wanted to start drinking immediately to avoid the chest palpitations, anxiety, irritation, and other discomforts
