Time to chug vodka

Day 7 of "operation get my shit together". Gave up the alcohol and nicotine cold turkey. Felt like hell for a few days but the worst cravings induced anxiety, is over (I hope). Appetite's starting to emerge (which is a good thing since I'm skeletal) and have been sticking with the protein shakes. Also have a couple of decent bike rides under my belt and done a bit of upper body. Was 9st0lb and 16% body fat before I started this. Won't check these figures again until the beginning of August but if I can put on a couple of pounds and drop to around 14% then I'd be delighted. (No intention of getting swoll. If I was going to be a beefcake, I'd have started as a teenager. Just after being a healthy weight). Reading hasn't taken off at all although I did binge watch a few documentaries on the Berlin Wall which is better than nothing. Listened to a few lectures on Lutheranism but it's still a foreign language to me. Does my head in that in order to understand the historical facets of that period, I have to become conversant in Theology. Still, if I ever manage to crack it then I can become a more complete History student.

Week 2 begins tomorrow. Stick with the sobriety and get a few bike rides in. Keep at the Reformation bollocks and it will get easier organically. No pressure, keep it steady and simple.
