Do you wish you lived in the Mountains?
>>38238829
yes
especially somewhere there isn't evidence of a single other person as far as the eye can see
>>38238829
Why not, I don't care where I live, might be mountains as well.
>>38238829
I have a 400 acre ranch and my caretaker is moving on soon. It's way in the mountains, beautiful and no one around.
If anyone wants to take care of it while I'm gone most of the year I'm accepting applications. You probably don't have any useful skills though, so fuck off
They look nice but mountain roads are too dangerous. Almost died last time I went to the rockies not worth it.
>>38238829
No, mountains could be volcanoes and I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night burning to death
I do , here's a pic of my last retarded hike in +3000m mountains on unstable rocks without even a visible way because nobody goes there
hiking truly is the robot hobby
If it meant I owned the house and land and basically was set for life then hell yes
>>38240012
Wow that looks beautiful, lucky you anon.
>>38238829
I wish I didn't live at all.
>>38238829
No
>shit internet
>socially isolated
>have to travel long distance to do anything (go to movies, buy groceries etc)
>can very easily die alone if you get very sick
>amazon deliveries prob take long af to get there
Living in a city is godmode. I don't know how to drive and don't have a car and don't need one. Everything I need is within a couple blocks radius or a few train or bus stops away.
>>38238939
Ayy, what are we talking about in terms of salary/responsibilities? Experience in tree trimming, welding, plumbing, being a mechanic, and a few other fields. I want to be alone.
>>38238939
I worked on a farm before what you need done m8
>>38238829
Yes it's something I'm considering right now it'd be the ultimate tranquility for me I'll eat what I kill thinking up plans for shelter which state has the best mountains
>>38238829
I live in the wooded mountains. I'm gonna build a shack in the woods soon when I get some money for rope, tarps and some other things.
>>38240081
thanks anon have another one >>38240095
I live in a city in the mountains and i have both hah
>>38240302
Looks amazing. Where do you live anon?
>>38238829
I don't know. I've never lived outside of a city. I often wish that I could, but it would be a difficult change from the convenience of the city.
>>38240343
>>38240302
Okay these pics look more similar than I thought. Google tells me you live in switzerland
yes, the problem is finding a job
my current plan is savings + investments but that is going to take awhile before I have enough to live off of a passive income
I'd like to live in rural-ish area with a lot of foliage.
>>38240458
I want to swim in that beautiful lake.
>>38240343
I live in the most polluted valley in France unironically
>>38238829
Very much. Being a mountain hermit wouldn't be so bad if I had basic supplies shipped to me weekly with running clean water. No normalfags to fuck with you for hundreds of miles. It also helps that I am a /k/unt so I have shit to protect me if the local wildlife gets screwy.
>>38238829
I do live in the mountains. Everything is expensive, your heating costs in the winter are through the fucking roof, and finding work is fucking impossible.
>>38238939
What kind of skills would I need?
>>38240693
>your heating costs in the winter are through the fucking roof
do you not use wood?
>>38240727
Not everyone has a fireplace, and wood stoves are more expensive than a gas furnace anyways. Even Franklin Stoves are inefficient as fuck, and you also need somewhere to store your wood where it will stay dry and is easily accessible when there's feet of snow on the ground. Wood heating is stupid for anything other than the comfy feel if you have access to gas.
>>38240727
fire places are not very efficient, they suck the heat out of the rest of the house
his problem is probably that it's an old house with bad insulation and leaky windows/doors, along with an old inefficient heating system
>>38240777
the outdoor furnaces are expensive to get but once you get it hooked up it's cheap as hell
>>38240857
I live in a single wide trailer that I can barely afford rent on, and work is near nonexistent here. Not going to be able to get one of those.
take the greenpill robots
also all those pics were the hike from grandes autannes to aiguille du genepi des grands if ever somebody was interested
>vision is blurrying trying to look ahead
>can't enjoy the view in the woods
this kills the depression
If I could wake up to a stunning mountain valley view every single morning, I wouldn't even mind living all alone for my entire life.
guess I'll go to /an/ because people prefer self loathing or race bait threads here
>>38238829
I wish I could just move to a remote place like that for a few weeks, take my guitars and paint with me and be creative. Fuck the beach, that would be true vacation for me.
>>38238829
I'd probably become a Buddhist monk in the Himalayas if I weren't such a lardass
>>38240095
>shit internet
probably not, you can get good internet everywhere nowadays
>socially isolated
OH THE HUMANITY, HOW COULD ANYONE MANAGE
>go to movies
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>can very easily die alone if you get very sick
theres such a thing as phones, youll not die in a day from pretty much anything.
>amazon deliveries prob take long af to get there
who cares about delivery times, 3 days, a week, a month, whatever
>>38238939
where are you at and what type of skills are you looking for in a worker
>>38240136
>>38240159
We run some cattle and generally keep the buildings kept up so my family and I can enjoy it as a summer home.
I'm not really gonna hire off /r9k/ though, lol
>>38241856
>offer to take apps for position
>lol jk I'm not going to hire off of here
Why bring it up then you stupid moron?
>>38238939
Like others before me, what work needs to be done? I've got skills you could use.
Inna mountains or Inna woods
>>38238829
Yes, living in the woods where you're nearby a big city but can't see the city sounds super cozy.
Or even one of those really, really small towns you see now and then outside populated areas.
I'd like to try to live out of a cave I find one late summer though.
>>38240540
It's always cold, always.
>>38238829
i already live close to them
>>38241856
>If anyone wants to take care of it while I'm gone most of the year I'm accepting applications.
>I'm not really gonna hire off /r9k/ though
can you say 'contradiction'?
>>38242162
That only makes it better. The body adjusts to the cold water, yet it still feels so refreshing.
>>38238877
Same, Alaska would be heaven for me.
I plan on running away to the mountains (Alaska) and seeing how long I last. I don't see about dying and would like to be with nature before I pass. I'm so sick of all this
>>38243747
You may as well slit your wrists, you'd suffer less. Pick somewhere that isn't Alaska.
>>38240978
Not something glasses can't fix? Or contacts?
>>38241650
this, although the internet might still be a problem, espescially if you try this here in Australia
I'd love to. I already live within about 45 minutes drive of the rockies but would much rather live out there than in the city. Maybe some day it could be possible.
