People gamble, do drugs, play vidya whatever because they find it pleasurable. They may complain about being addicted if they're aware enough to see negative consequences it might be having on their lives but they carry on regardless because they pleasure outweighs the pain.

Yes, there's such a thing as alcohol and heroin withdrawal etc which affects a small percentage of people who have totally fucked up. Even they can slowly ween themselves off their habits.

For a majority, all they need is to take some personal responsibility and apply willpower. Pretending they have some disease only gives them an excuse to not try.

There's a difference between some populist making five minute crash course about a subject based on the wikipedia article with lots of funny animations and images, and someone who has actual knowledge and wants to make a legitimately informative video. The latter is an acceptable source, but it's rare.
