I had that problem, man. Just look at cognitive functions. You'll find it eventually.
And if you can't figure it out when you look at that, you're statistically more likely to be INTP.
Here's a few questions to ask yourself, too.
>organised or disorganised
>bits of knowledge about everything, or loads about little things
>do I express my feels, or do I keep them to myself
>>
>>38232747
read about functions but unable distinguish between introverted intuition and introverted thinking

OCD clean and organized
lots of knowledge about random random things, yet highly specific knowledge on my hobbies.

keep my feelings to myself yet practicing emotional intelligence and often verbalize how I feel

Intuition is a phenomena that's hard to describe. I think it's recalling reason from instinct, and despite not knowing the source of the reason, it's still valid? Whereas thinking in terms of cognitive functions is recalling reason after a logical arrangement of evidence

There are different maturity levels of ENTPs like there are all types.

You can either be a well-adjusted ENTP who has cool ideas or you can be a "Lol bro debate me I'm god *tips fedora*" ENTP. As an ENTP myself I can say that I fucking hate the stereotypical ENTP archetype.
>>
>>38233526
It tells me that you're extremely uncertain regarding who you think you are and/or who you want to be so you look way too much into meaningless personality typing methods to try and give yourself some sort of stable sense of identity.

Also, you're probably between the age of 18 and 22
>>
Who /endlesslyquestioningtheirtype/ here?

This is perhaps the 3rd or 2nd time I've taken this test now, same results, don't remember the percentage amount before though. But I still can't feel fully convinced and whats more is I'm starting to wonder if I'm not just remembering what responses led to what and thats skewing the results as I'm always getting INTP, and I got INTP on the first attempt as well.

But my godamn OCD won't let me stop worrying that I'm wrong all this time and misleading myself somehow.

I think thats over 50% of my brain but unfortunately they never lead anywhere, its like I like the idea of things more than carrying them out I dont know and if I dont carry them out in the most efficient and best manner then it doesn't feel genuine but I don't have the motivation to hold out that long

The worst is when I have these ideas but then I think about alternatives to those ideas and alternatives to those and I kind of lose myself for a while but nothing gets done I just spawned more ideas and feel even less certain about where to proceed. This happens often when I want to mod a game for instance, there are so many ways you can take it I want to explore them all equally but I can't decide which to start and end up delaying forever, this applies actually to a lot of things in general.

But then theres also some ideas I like but the actual process of implementing them is more tedious, working out the background functions and setting things up in order to execute or explore just one idea/scenario out of dozens in my mind just makes me feel drained, and it would be better if that could all be taken care of by itself so I can focus solely on experiencing the scenario/idea I have in mind - once again that applies a lot to modding in games and creative games in general.

Its kind of ironic, I like modding, map editors, scenario editors and such tools because of all the ideas they let you explore and create but the actual tedious process of setting things up and learning the editors - AI pathing, scripting, placing everything down, setting things up etc is a tedious process that gets in the way of things, and for each different idea, it has to be done differently, all from the start, so annoying and tedious it just saps my motivation to continue. And I'm left with a lot of unrealized or half-explored ideas sitting around in my mind for various games, and stuff, but no motivation to go and finish them.

It's all so tiresome
>>
>>38235683
My project ideas and stuff are the only things that motivate me to do well in life, since I need to be successful to get the money I need to actually try out all the cool stuff I have in mind.

Also the idea in mind that gives me the initial motivation often ends up too ambitious to be implemented in whatever method/media I'm trying to achieve it in, whether due to lack of knowledge and experience with the tools required to bring it to fruition or limitations in the game/system itself.

Someone with in-depth knowledge of an editor/program can perhaps overcome these through different tricks and work-arounds but in order to do that you have to learn the tool and go through the tedious processing of learning it uses, the UI, the way things work, and that's the most boring part for me where I burn out. I wanted to extract some models and convert them to .fbx to mod into a game but in order to do that I had to learn how to use FBX Extractor and Blender and its always half-assed learning just for what purpose its needed for but the result ends up not working or requiring deeper knowledge and experience with the programs so I burn out and move on

And this way I never learn proficiency in any art/3D model/editor program and tool and its always half-assed everything and abandoned ideas.

Anyone else know this shitty feel?

>>38236037
Yeah, we're not very good at tedious tasks that provide little stimulus.
It's also hard to actually get into something new that has a learning curve, since I often don't have the motivation to actual get through the boring part and actually start enjoying something.

Also I find myself moving from art program to art program trying to find out which is best, least tedious but also robust enough for the ideas I have in mind for images I want to make and the ideas I want to explore, I need to give each one a try and never learn mastery in any single one as a result and never get anywhere

You're here on r9k, so it probably is.
>>
>>38236132
>It's also hard to actually get into something new that has a learning curve

Yeah I suck at strategy games and 4X as a result, I realized that I like the idea of playing a strategy game and exploring the alternate history scenarios you can create and experience but actually learning how the game works and understanding all its complexities enough to not just go into it without a clue to what you are doing is nearly impossible, there so many things to keep track of and so many factors and variables to consider all the time, I give up often after trying for an hour or so.

But also with a game like Civ V I have so many scenario ideas I want to explore that I don't know where to start, and I'm worried that they won't play out as I want to and I will waste a long running game on a poorly executed result yet I also feel like setting up the game to progress quicker is cheapening the experience so I end up never returning to it again.
>>
>>38236296
Too intimidating, right now I like Krita and its free but yeah whats the point when I drop it after a week and don't return to it for a few months, and repeat. Sometimes I wonder why I even want to draw if I can't put in the effort required.

With civ I was lucky enough to start out by playing with friends, which allowed me to enjoy it without having to understand much about the game yet, and they helped teach me the basics.
After that I started playing single player and have ended up with over a thousand hours played in civ 5.
I tried Age of empires, but it was much more difficult to learn since it required a lot of micromanaging in real time, and I didn't want to learn all the keyboard shortcuts required to play the game well.

It seems for lots of things, it's best to have someone or something that helps you enjoy the learning curve aspect of a game/hobby, so that you can finally get to the best parts.

I also have lots of scenario ideas for civ5 and civ6, but I have no idea where I would start for learning to mod, and my ideas are too ambitious for a beginner.

There is a way to get around this, but it requires having another person you can enjoy learning something new with.
I guess it can also work if you have some other way of finding enjoyment while you get through the learning curve, but so far I only remember having friends to enjoy the experience with in order to get past a learning curve.

I mean mine don't really require mods even, just things like Pangea playthrough, WWII playthrough, I just have so many ideas I dont know which to start with first. But yeah when it comes to modding its a hate or love it thing because when mods break the game, when a mod is broken or when something relating to modding like mod conflicts or whatever happens its the worst because it means I can't explore a specific idea entirely due to circumstances outside of my reach and it makes me feel really tense and disappointed, but when mods work, and there are no mod conflicts, and the setup worked and nothing is broken then it can be really fun, this applies more to games like Skyrim and Fallout.

>>38236482
Nah I disagree, for me its not a problem of needing help through the learning curve but its more like I can't tolerate half-assed work I make, its a perfectionist thing and its why the idea of sketching out multiple sketches before committing to a final drawing is strange to me, and why the more mistakes and errors I make the less I want to continue, its my stupid perfectionism, an all or nothing approach mindest thats holding me back I think. But the negative feelings when I try ignore it are too strong and its a very fixed mindset.

Can somebody, please, describe, in a detailed manner, how the cognitive functions of ESTJs and ESFJs works?

I do know that ESTJs are the most bitter personality type out of all (Probably due to their Te,Si) but i'm scared of how ESFJs functions.
My mom is an ESFJ, and that's pretty cool overhaul because she always does things for me (Chores, laundry, ecc.), but i do think that she's a bit hypocritical and everytime we argue she has to make a reference about her past experiences which is utterly boring... and not to talk about how she gets mad whenever i'm against her point of view....

>>38236592
What I'm saying is that when you start doing something new that requires a learning curve, it's usually boring/frustrating, but can be overcome when you have some other source of enjoyment to distract you from what would be something boring.
So if I was sketching something by myself with no experience, I would get bored really quick and be dissatisfied with my work.
But if I had a friend with me and we were just having a friendly competition and in general having fun, then I wouldn't care how well I made it, since I was just doing it to have fun.
>>

ESFJ has Fe (extroverted feeling) Si (introverted sensing), Ne (extroverted intuition) and Ti (introverted thinking) cognitive functions in that order. Fe-doms care about harmony therefore your INTP spouting is viewed as heresy against natural, traditional order.

As an INTP, I think you're a dumbass for showing off your results from a 100-question test as being part of the "master race". Keep that holier-than-thou shit to the frogposters.

>Fe-doms care about harmony therefore your INTP spouting is viewed as heresy against natural, traditional order.
But wouldn't ESTJs be pissed off too if i go against their point of view...or is it something that it has to do with their Inferior Fi and Dominant Te? Because i ran past a few ESTJs who would just give me a middle finger and continue with their day or, either, go to someone and tell how much of a weirdo i am.

ESTJ wouldnt care as they're orientated towards results. If you're being weird without influencing end result - they couldnt care less.
