Baseball hat is probably your best bet. Ignore that other guy and do not get one with a sports team logo unless you're actually a fan and can knowledgeably converse with people about the team, just get a plain solid color one. I've also started seeing people wear bucket hats again so that might be another option.

As a melanin-enriched individual I gravitate more toward flat brims, but baseball caps are something anyone can pull off. Also unless it's retarded colors or says something absolutely autistic on it, nobody will pay attention to you because of your hat.

I wear hats of football teams I don't watch that apparently suck, and I've never been accosted by strangers and forced to do some sort of in-depth explanation about them. At the most I'll get some joke about it from a football fan, which I'll reply "I just lost a bet" or something to. Wear whatever you think looks cool OP, seeing as you're here you probably aren't talking to that many people when you're out and about anyway.

Nah, it's the kind of thing English sports car drivers wear in movies from the 1960s...totally cool. My grandpa used to wear one, and he totally rocked it.

You do need to be tall, have a prominent nose, and drive a vintage MG or similar car to achieve the best effect, however.
