What do you do with old birthday cards?

I always feel really bad when I throw them away. It was the same thing with giving away my teddy bears/stuffed animals when I was a kid.

I also tend to feel really bad when someone gets me something at all.

I have every birthday/christmas card from the past 25 years that I've received. The stack of cards is about 10cm thick.

I keep them all in a carebear lunchbox by my bed. I even have letters from my only ever irl best friend. We were 5 so I can't read some of them.

I chuck out most of them. I have saved 2 recent ones because they had some meaningful shit in it that I need to read a lot. If I don't I forget that I'm wanted

fuck i kept all of mine until one day while cleaning i found them all and on accident crushed them up, realized what i did and just threw it out anyway

I've only gotten three in my life.
I've still got them.

That's why I started saving them as a kid. Reading them made me feel like someone cared about me.
TFW reading my birthday cards now makes me feel I'm a disappointment to my parents as I still live with them and don't really have any friends.
