a prof also asked if i wanted to take on a contract updating his boring as shit website. i guess i'll do it since i need the extra cashola

still better than my last gig where i was basically just a technician for a company doing environmental assessments for pipelines in canada. but that sucked. everything you hear about oil companies is true. they are fucking pieces of shit that know they are wrecking the environment and they literally do not care. they fucking laugh about it.

I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and about 8 years experience as an engineer before I became a project manager. I'm working on autonomous vehicles right now, which is pretty damn cool.

I make $100k/year with a potential for up to 10% of that as a bonus if I hit certain targets. I could make more elsewhere, but the cost of living here is relatively low, I have a lot of job security, and fantastic benefits.
>>
I work at a local radio station. I do the night shift or late after noon shift for sport games.
>>
I trade stocks and other securities.
>>
>>38219346
How did you get started on that? Save up money to buy stocks or what?
>>
>>38219716
No, my father made most of his initial wealth trading securities, so when I came of age, he gave me some money to invest, any profit I made, I keep, any loss, I pay him back double. That worked well, I made some decent returns and a few years later I've put all of my money into trading, while also trading for a private equity firm.

Yeah I'm the other guy. So you don't need any certificates or something?

>>38222517
Thought about it. I will break your code and your dreams.

>>38222583

I meant relatively speaking. It's not like assembly line workers where you can just hire more people to a team to increase output. Everything is interconnected and messing up one thing can screw everything up. Fixing that one thing can screw three things up that you then have to fix. That's why it's stupid to hire spaghetti coders from India unless the shit your doing is really simple and you don't have shitloads of code to maintain.
>>
>>38222662

Worthless.

Damn, that's cool as fuck. I tried to hack it as a photojourno and then started writing too and ended up in the automotive/motorsports media, and now that's all behind me and I'm in a pretty cool position in another field, but part of me will always wish I'd gone into "real" news.

I call bullshit, so long as you show up a job is always there for you.
I don't even talk to my coworkers and I've still been able to keep/find new jobs.

Finding a qt who wants to spend time with me is harder as it actually requires social skills which i completely lack.

I'm a fucking busboy and work for chinks in an Asian restaurant. It's as bad as they say it is. Not just because food business sucks, but chinks expect you to break your back and be happy about it for minimum wage while doing the work of three people while you're only one.

Honestly agree as a panic attack-ridden mess.

Like if you can interact well with an employer and convince them to hire you, then you can interact with a girl and ask her out on dates and such. It's the same type of people skills in the end.

True robots are probably jobless and friendless guys who sit in their rooms all day but they're definitely rare people. Most people have basic function and go to work and school and such.
>>
>>38228198

I can't seem to find a job I can do

I'm a fat robot who has spent 8 years being a neet

I lie on resumes and job history and still don't get hired

And I can't find any places I'd want to work because I'm out of shape, I wouldn't be able to keep up with most jobs. I just want a comfy office or sititng down job that would take me but I can't find anything.

I'm lucky because I'm in a longterm projekt right around where I live so I dont have to do any of that crap anymore and I get paid more because it's 100% project time

60k euros, which is quite good here for a bachelors degree with ~2 years of experience

I hate it though...

Computer Operator in a warehouse.

It's pretty cool. Low pay, but It's like a dream robot job. I get to help warehouse people with computer problems they may have (easy shit). Manage projects that corporate gives us. Like setting up over 100 thin clients a few months back, or sending out new RF guns. Other little responsibilities that occur occasionally. Also get to mess around in report building programs that use SQL and now I'm starting to learn Microsoft Access.

Basically it's a job with no actually criteria and some days I literally only do something for 30 minutes because nothing is happening. I get my own little walled in office in the data room away from everything too. The only thing that sucks is everyone I work around is 40+ in the admin area.
