What exactly were his motives? To me they seemed vague and hard to pin down, even bizarre at times.

My favorite would have to be Marc Lepine, the Montreal shooter who targeted women. He had good points about women being treated preferably in society, feminists trying to remove rights that hinder them and keep the ones that help them, like seperation of genders in the olympics. His suicide letter is a good read and is much better than Elliot's hundred page whineifesto.

And he had a respectable score, even stabbing someone to death when he had ammo to spare.
