the point is you just because your mom's dad isn't bald doesn't mean she can't carry the gene for baldness. if men can inherit the gene from their mothers, then obviously women can also inherit it from their mothers. you'd have to look at an infinite list of your ancestors to know for certain if you're gonna go bald or not.

Others can literarilly eat shit, and still will have perfect hair. A doctor can make some kind of hair-health-check, to be certain about it.

My aunt lost much of her full, long hair, when my uncle died. Of cause this is only one case, but I assume that there is a relation between psychological stress and hair loss too.

Number one reason still is male pattern baldness (genetics), tough.
