Any SSRI success story surely it cant all be a meme

As a piece of shit myself I honestly don't think there's saving people like me.

It's a terrible fate.

Made me unable to feel emotion, happy or sad. Just completely dead inside. Wouldn't recommend.

it works for some of us, sometimes in combination with other drugs. took me a decade to get a combo that made me semi-functional. good luck OP.

I've tried 3 ssri before. I'm on effexor and abilify right now. No terrible unmanageable side effects. It has reduced my depression but I don't give a shit about that. I'm only taking it for anxiety and it hadn't helped.

i am on lexapro. side effects are terrible - always tired but can't sleep, low appetite, can't enjoy food, no sex drive, etc

I take wellbutrin and Effexor. So far my depression and anxiety have decreased, but with it my happiness. All I feel is apathy. I suppose that's better than being suicidally depressed.

SSRI's made me feel like shit.

I've been using St Johns Wort as an alternative and I feel like it helps me.

Started Celexa today. I stopped taking Zoloft a few months back because its effectiveness plateaued. It was good for a while but I started to get anxious about the same things all over again.

I started ssris about 10 years ago. The main reason was social phobia. It was wonderful to be free from anxiety for the first time.

As time went on, it wasn't just anxiety I was free from but every emotion/feeling. I don't mind desu. I just have to keep myself occupied because it's very boring.

I'm currently on an snri and I guess it's the same. I'll get off them someday to see if anything changes.

I would totally try them, but was on clonazepam for three months, cut it off abruply and I'm suffering withdrawal now so I am affraid of psychiatric meds now

It'll alleviate the depression once you find the right med that works for you but it'll introduce a bunch of negative side effects. I would not recommend medication outside of the most extreme of cases.

I succeeded in overcoming anxiety after I cut myself off from the medications I took for 8 years. After the slow taper, I learnt to be quick about my ability to trace the anxiety to an emotion or influence in my state of feeling. Rationalizing these things helped immensely.

you fucking niggers are worse than actual junkies. SSRIs have fucking terrible side effects and should really be reserved for schizos or people that are actually on the verge of blowing their brains out (but thos type of people tend to refuse to take medication).

most of you suffering through depression that are scared of killing yourselfs shouldn't take this shit.

Take them as need and get therapy, consider tolerance for long term usage.

me takes zoloft generic, it has plateaued since the early days but if i need a boost i take a second 50 mg tablet. oh yeah, it helps me not have shitty thoughts and be less socially anxious
