I made a poem. Why don't we have a poetry thread?
Have you ever searched for a memory and sat down to recall?
And searching for that memory you found nothing at all?
And searching for that emptiness, looking through your heart
You found it riddled with holes and falling all apart?
When you've been searching for the good times and finding only bad
How can you remember all the good times that you never had?
And I remember clearly, an absence would embrace me.
And I remember clearly, a whisp would love me only
And I remember clearly, a shadow by my side.
And I remember clearly, a nothing to whom I cried.

you absolute loser
i was granted one blessing in my youth into my palm
pressed he, a ruddy berry fairy egg, and a curious psalm
"wee see tee lo; wee see fee fo; bee see me loo; vee see air foo"
then parkoured down tween the tenements and peeled out the parking lot
this egg i placed into my dirty wiffle ball
this pregnant orb i placed onto my dresser
draped 'neath the wan yellow rays spilled by the
dilapidated reading lamp previously supplied me by my erstwhile uncle
and left it there for a spell
and then one mellow day
i awoke to the mewling cry
of a bulbous fly that possessed
a fair maiden's head
at this frightening sight
i cried my own delight
and lightning quick
grabbed my stick
and struck the sphere
which housed the insectoid whore
through the window of my room which exited out onto the fire escape whereon stood the eggbenefactor who caught the rocketing object in his mouth and with a grin half managed through a ball gag proceeded to choke down the miracle maiden in her sporty prison
and swallowed
and parkoured off
but wafting back
"wee see tee lo; wee see fee fo; bee see me loo; vee see air foo"
I said I was a raving beast, a lunatic
And I admit, that wasn't absolutely true
Half-true, because my consciousness is half split
Between raving beast and sad man, down with the blues
So I guess I'm a liar then, but so are you
And your lies were much harder for me to see through
